Los Angeles: The Last Bookstore

SONY DSC

The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles isn’t actually the last one in the city, but it is one of its most interesting, inspiring shops.

This is what a bookstore is supposed to look, smell and feel like. Vintage. Full of history.

There are books everywhere. In fact, as soon as you walk in, you see the cash register is held up by a counter made of books. The walls are decorated with pages that have been ripped out of books, repurposed to become crumpled art. More pages line other walls. There are books on top of books on top of books. You can get lost in the literature.

Literally…

If you walk upstairs, you’ll enter a labyrinth. Bookshelves create a maze for you to run through. Books decorate this area, too.

But it’s not all JUST about books. Nah, there’s music here, too. Check the vinyl and art.

Here’s a little journey through Los Angeles’ The Last Bookstore through my lens.

    1. Hey, Danielle!

Yeah, the store is pretty awesome. A walk over from work might be an excellent idea, especially if you’re ever in need of some inspiration.

      Thanks for reading, Danielle!
